Story relates to bullying, peanut allergy, lactose/gluten intolerances, bodily insecurities, and dyslexia. "I read this book with my 8 and 11 year old as a family book. At first I thought my younger one wouldn't be ready for the material. I was wrong; she was hooked from the start and wouldn't let me put down the book. It gave my kids great ideas on how to deal with bullying and food issues in a level they could understand and relate. It was very entertaining and at the same time easy to read while learning all at once. We kept laughing throughout the book. My son, having his own food issues, related and felt he wasn't alone after reading this book. It taught great messages, which I labeled 'thought for the day;' there were inspirational quotes at the end of each chapter that were very uplifting and made my kids process and apply to their daily life. My kids really enjoyed the 'brain' juice and keep applying it to their everyday life. Great read!" (M. Farias)
